Healthy Workplaces

The number of working days lost in the UK due to sickness and ill health continues to grow, with an increase in both mental and physical health conditions at work. These include:

  • Stress, anxiety and depression
  • Lower back pain and other musculoskeletal disorders
  • Long term conditions – often attributable to unhealthy lifestyle choices such as smoking, physical inactivity and poor diet.

We can support you to have a healthy workplace through a number of our partnerships and training programmes. 

 

The Healthy Workplaces 

  1. Browse the website http://hwglos.org for information and ideas on what you can evidence for your accreditation
  2. If you feel the accreditation is right for you, register as a member using our quick and easy sign up form.
  3. Read about the two levels ‘foundation’ and ‘enhanced’ to see which accreditation you would like to be awarded
  4. Make contract with the Workplace Health Advisor by calling us on 0800 122 3788 or emailing Tim Selway at Selway@hlsglos.org and we can arrange a visit to your place of work.
  5. Work towards the healthy workplace accreditation award - login using your account details and start uploading your evidence.
  6. Get your reward – be assessed on your hard work and be awarded your foundation or enhanced award

 

Mental Health First Aid Training - Healthy Lifestyles Gloucestershire
